Surprise Summer Hanging call for art

Last night the IAA Board agreed the gallery was looking a little empty and decided to fill it with a surprise summer exhibit for our members. And it’s FREE!

Also, the city has announced the reopening of its buildings, so we have established gallery hours for summer: Saturday 10-2, Sunday 1-5, and Tuesday 10:30 -3:30 (Tuesday Painters hours). In the fall we will need volunteers to extend our hours even more as we relaunch all our programs.

So members, please bring several pieces of work to fill our empty spaces! We’ll provide the hammer & nails. Those artists who are in our 2021 IAA Members Awards Online Show are especially encouraged to bring work in. If you’re not an IAA member or need to renew, you can do that when you bring your work or online at

Gallery Hours to bring your work: This Sunday, June 6th 1-5pm and next Tuesday, June 8th 10:30-3:30. Please email to arrange for different times. Also, if you have work at the gallery that is overdue for pickup, you can do so during those hours.

The Surprise Summer Hanging show will be on view through August.

In September we’ll be relaunching our exhibit program with member Terry Cockerham’s photography exhibit in the small gallery and the 2021 Animal Art Exhibit competition in the large gallery.
