Class & Workshop Schedule

The Irving Art Association sponsors several types of art instruction as part of the IAA Community Fine Art School, which is partially funded through grants from the Irving Arts Board and the Irving Chamber of Commerce Share Tank.

Classes – refers to a series of classes, usually weekly. The subject may be a media or technique, and each class builds new skills based on those of prior classes. Or one project may require several sessions. We also have classes in Spanish!

Workshops – The duration may be a few hours, a day or several days. There is usually a fee set by the instructor.

Open Art Meetups – 2- or 3-hour free workshops offered by IAA members, usually on Friday evenings. There may be a small materials fee.

Free weekly groups – held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day — see Tuesday Painters and Thursday Art & Crafts Groups below.

Art Detective Camps – usually held in the summer for children 7-13
