Reception for all the exhibits will be Saturday, April 16 from 6 – 9 pm. Gallery hours: Tuesdays 10:30-3:00, Wednesdays & Saturdays 1-4 pm.
I am a representational painter in oils. I paint people, places, things… all from life. The process of making a picture helps me discover new thoughts and feelings about the world. The end result is some expensive colored mud (what we call oil paint) on a canvas or board. Some people tell me that the mud speaks to them and I know it talks back to me. It becomes the subject itself. The object of the painting takes a back seat but it is still there. It is in its right accessory place given that my interest is often in lonely places and hidden beauty.
