Folding Flowers Free Workshop August 2

Create beautiful flowers from scrapbook paper or cardstock! You can even use your failed gelli prints, old book pages or tissue paper too. (Two-sided paper makes for a dramatic look.)

Sharon will bring extra cardstock and mat board scraps for you to use in mounting. She will also bring templates and directions for the flowers.

Friday, August 2 7-9 pm

Location: Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX 75061

We’ll be using circle templates to create several kinds of folded flowers. You can mount your flat flowers on canvas board or mat board for framing. Or use them in card making or in your art journal or scrapbook.

REGISTER on our Meetup site or email to reserve your spot.

Supplies needed: pencil, scissors, glue sticks or glue, paper (we also have scrapbook paper at the gallery), bone folder or plastic bread knife.

Optional: canvas board; acrylic paint for backgrounds; buttons or findings for centers of flowers; ribbons, sequins etc. for decoration; pens, pencils, or markers for drawing or embellishment.

Sharon Giles will lead you in this flowery fun!

Doors open at 6:30 and demo starts at 7pm.

Sponsored by the Irving Art Association.
