Announcing the Winners of the 2014 Animal Art Exhibit

2014 13th Annual Irving Art Association
Wildlife & Domestic Animal Juried Art Competition

For the second year, wild and domestic animal artwork were combined beautifully into one show, the 13th annual event hosted by IAA featuring animal art. 64 works from 44 artists came from all across the country, selected by juror Anne L. Hines. Drawings, pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylics and mixed media are represented in this exciting collection.

The show opened Sunday, August 31st and runs until Sept. 25th at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts. Gallery hours are Sun., Mon., & Wed., from 1 to 4 p.m. and Tues. & Thurs., from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Awards Reception was held on Sunday afternoon, September 14 from 2-4pm. Credit goes to those who worked hard on this exhibit: Host and leader of the Exhibit Committee was IAA President VET. Our new Exhibit Chair Mark Thompson and Juror Anne L. Hines handed out awards. Catalog and entry work was done by webmaster Sharon Giles. Food for the reception was arranged by Susan Murray. Reception photographer is Melissa Blaul.

On Sept. 27 selected artwork from the exhibit will move to the West Irving Library (corner of Rochelle & Esters) for the 3rd Annual IAA Animal Art Traveling Exhibit and be on view until December 7. Traveling exhibit chairs are Sharon Giles and Susan Murray. Contact: westlibraryexhibits@irvingart.og
