2021 66th IAA Members Online Awards Show call for art – only $20+ to enter

The tradition of having an annual members awards show goes back 66 years to the founding of the association. To continue it during this time of social distancing, we are hosting the show online as a virtual gallery as we did last year. (We do plan to open our physical gallery again soon.)

The show is open to all current IAA Members of the 2020-21 or 2021-22 year. To join or renew, go to https://irvingartassociation.org/membership/

The fee for entry will be $20 for two works; $25 for three; and $30 for four. All works meeting requirements will be accepted.

ENTER & PAY ONLINE (deadline is midnight on Tuesday, June 1st)

JUROR: The awards for this year’s show will be determined by a juror instead of a popular vote like last year. Juror is professional artist Maureen Brouillette, award-winining artist and instructor with signature recognition from the International Society of Experimental Artists, Southwestern Watercolor Society, and Texas Watercolor Society. For more about her and her work, see her website.

IMAGES ARE REQUIRED since this is a virtual exhibit. File size limit: 3MB or a total of 10MB for all files. Note: Please rename your images (jpeg or png): Lastname, Firstname Artwork Title.

Note: To crop, resize or rename your images, try an online image editor — we recommend Pixlr. If you need assistance with image editing, contact us as exhibits@irvingartassociation.org.

All categories of art media and photography are acceptable with no size limitations on the artwork. For award purposes, we will categorize entries by media: Oil Painting, Water Media, Dry Media (drawing, pastel etc.), Printmaking (hand-pulled), Mixed / Other Media (encaustics, alcohol inks, etc.), Photography/Digital, and 3D (sculpture, jewelry, glass, mosaic, pottery, assemblages, fiber arts etc.). Categories with less than five entries may be combined with another for award purposes only.

There is no subject limitation except for frontal nudity and copyright/trademark infractions. Any final decision regarding acceptance of a particular image will be at the discretion of the exhibit curators.

All types of subjects are accepted into the show, but artists are requested (not required) to enter at least one artwork illustrating the theme of Diversity for the Challenge Award. IAA supports a culture of diversity and diverse expressions of art. Your artwork may reflect either meaning of diversity or whatever diversity means to you. Challenge contenders will also be judged within their media categories.

Multi-panel art (Diptych, Triptych, etc.) can be entered, either as a combined image or as separate images.

All entries must be original and completed within the last three years and not exhibited in a past annual Members Show.

All sales are between the artist and the buyer. Artist is liable for all taxes. A 10% donation to IAA will be appreciated.
