Sun Catchers for All! Feb. 8th free workshop

Friday, February 8, 2019 from 7-9pm. Held at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Linda Shotwell will be your host:

This is a project that you can do with items found around your home. Although if you want you can purchase them at your local craft store.

So what do you need to make these amazing Sun Catchers?

We will be using a piece of wood, dowel or other item as the base.
Old jewelry can be pulled apart and the beads can be used if you don’t have any beads left over from an old jewelry making phase. You can also use washers or other mechanical items, more twigs, really just about any item than can be strung or hung.

I am using jewelry wire or fishing line or string to hang my beads. But you can use thread or yarn or whatever you have.

I also used picture hanging hooks to hang my wire from, but with the fishing line I will just tie it around my branch and knot it.

You may also need snips or scissors, a measuring device and a little liquid glue to help hold your knots.
