Lynn Thomas will be leading the Open Art session on Friday, Dec. 7th – 7-9pm at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Sign up on our Meetup site (accounts are free on Meetup.com) or email the instructor at email@example.com.
Come decorate an ornament for gift giving or to decorate your own tree.
We will be decorating the inside of clear glass ornaments or the outside of clear or solid color ornaments.
If you have a favorite color glitter or a satin ribbon pattern, no more than a 5/8″ wide, then bring them with you.
Clear or any solid color, suggested gold or silver, glass ornaments are suggested, not plastic.
These can be found at Michaels, Walmart, Hobby Lobby or any store that sells Christmas decorations. If you don’t have the supplies, you can purchase them from the instructor for a $6.00 materials fee per ornament. Let the instructor know if you need supplies.
I will supply the glue we will use and the black acrylic paint so you can date your ornament. I am limiting the class to 12 participants and no younger than 15 years old.
Please sign up, let me know if you need supplies, and come to make memories. My e-mail is: firstname.lastname@example.org Please put – Ornaments – in the subject field.
I am a receptionist at a worldwide company for 27 years and counting. Each year I have decorated at least 40 ornaments to give to my coworkers, friends and family. Each year is a different design or method. They became so popular it was suggested I put the year on each as they are hanging on the trees of all my friends. My Mother and I started making and decorating ornaments my first year at my job. Mom made hers for the people she worked with and together we challenged each other on what we would make. She is gone now, but the passion lives on.
