Call for artists – exhibit space at the West Irving Library

The IAA Exhibits committee and CAAP (IAA’s Corporate Art Appreciation Program) are issuing an open call for IAA Members to have a solo or group exhibit at the West Irving Library. Note: If we don’t get resservations from IAA members, we will open this later to area artists.
 
Dates available:
May 27 – July 1 Solo Artist or Group Exhibit
Sept. 30 – Nov. 22 Solo Artist or Group Exhibit
 
Number of works needed: 25 to 28, depending upon size and weight (limit of 10 lbs). IAA members may organize a group exhibit with outside participation. Note: No fees permitted for participation.
 
3D artists: In addition to the wall space, we can also reserve the glass cabinets at the West Irving Library to display your work.

About the West Irving Library:
 

Beginning in 2012, Irving Art Association launched its first exhibit at the new West Irving Library which opened in April 2011. More than $8 million was invested in this 25,000-square-foot facility that sits on a 6.5-acre site on the corner of Rochelle and Esters roads. Completion of the environmentally friendly, technology rich facility marks another milestone in the city’s master plan for four stand-alone libraries. The award-winning building is a net zero energy facility and features cutting-edge educational technology.
