12th Annual IAA
Wildlife & Domestic Animal Juried Art Competition
This year, wild and domestic animal artwork were combined beautifully into one show. 55 works from 52 artists came from all across the country, selected by juror Priscilla Krejci. Drawings, pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylics and mixed media are represented in this exciting collection.
The show opened Monday, Sept. 3 and runs until Sept. 28 at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts. Gallery hours are Sun., Mon., & Wed., from 1 to 4 p.m. and Tues. & Thurs., from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Awards Reception was held on Sunday afternoon.
Host was Exhibit Chair Ron Stephens, assisted by IAA President VET. Food for the reception was arranged by Junanne Peck and Susan Murray.
On Sept. 21, the exhibit will be the feature attraction of the KIDS WILDLIFE SAFARI. Fun for adults and kids will include face painting, art activities, free gifts etc.
On Sept. 28 selected artwork from the exhibit will travel to the West Irving Library (corner of Rochelle & Esters) and be on view until December 7. Traveling exhibit chairs are Sharon Giles and Susan Murray.
