Benefit Auction for Parkinson’s Jan. 11
The Irving Jaycee Park Center for the Arts and the Irving Art Association will host an exhibit by Connie Jordan Dec. 30 – Jan. 25, 2008 in the East Gallery. There will also be an auction of her work and the work of several local artists to benefit research for Parkinson’s disease and the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).
The auction and a reception will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 11 in the West Gallery. The auction will begin at 7 p.m. and last until the final bid is taken. Applebee’s and Outback restaurants are donating gift certificates as door prizes. Additional parking will be available for this special event. Ms. Jordan built a reputation as a scenic artist for such shows as Walker Texas Ranger, Pure Country and Problem Child II.
