Jane E. Jones demonstrated her experimental watermedia technique at the last IAA Members meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009.
A nationally-recognized artist, Jane has studied with over 60 of the country’s leading instructors and is in demand herself as an instructor, lecturer and juror. Winner of innumerable prestigious awards in local, regional, and national juried exhibitions, Jane is a signature member of Southwest Watercolor Society, Associated Creative Artists, Texas Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Oklahoma and Western Federation Society. The IAA is also hosting a workshop by Jane Jones on Experimental Watermedia on Feb. 5, 6 and 7, 2009 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) at the Jaycee Center for the Arts. The workshop includes:
- Use of acrylics, ink, dyes, watercolor, acrylic and collage
- Abstract and non-objective
- Working inventively with your tools, trying anything you can think of to bring new life to your paintings
- Discovering the joy of pouring, scrubbing, glazing, cutting, ripping, stamping, splattering, and organizing into a more creative work of art
Cost: $180 for IAA members ($60 per day); $195 for nonmembers ($65 per day). $50 deposit required to reserve space.
