Irving Art Association’s 23rd Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibition will be even more exciting this year — now digital images (online or on CD) instead of slides will be the accepted format for entering the competition.
The exhibit runs Apr. 26 to May 24 at the prestigious Irving Art Center, which is cosponsoring the event with IAA this year. Juror is Pamela Nelson, a Dallas-based painter and public artist. Apr. 27 from 2-5 pm is the Reception and Awards Ceremony. For entry details see the prospectus. For online submission of images go to www.txlac.org/txneighborssubmissionform2008.htm
The IAA will also be hosting TxN Digital Day Clinics on Friday, Jan. 4 and Sat. Jan. 12, 2008 in order to help artists convert from submitting slides to using digital images for entry into the competition. For more info email the webmaster at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to the notice on www.ArtGroupsDFW.com. On Feb. 1 IAA will host a Texas & Neighbors Preview Night at 7 pm at the Jaycee Center. Light refreshments will be served. Come enjoy the art & the company!
