In conjunction with the Irving Heritage Society‘s Celebrating Irving event, IAA is hosting Irving-themed exhibits at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts and the West Irving Library. This is the Irving Heritage House’s 100th Anniversary, and the focus of the celebration is on anything Irving. The West Gallery at Jaycee Park will be devoted mainly to art created byThelma Coleman.
Our call to artists and photographers is open to all adults and children in the DFW area. Subject must be Irving-related. FREE!
- Mar. 26 – May 5 Celebrate Irving Exhibit; April 4, 7 p.m. – Reception. (East & West Galleries at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts)
- Mar. 26 – May 27 – Celebrate Irving Exhibit at the West Irving Library
Drop off works on Saturday, March 25th from 10am-2pm at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts. . You may drop off work for the West Irving Library on Sunday, March 26th from 1-3pm (or the day before at the Jaycee Center).
Art and photos should be framed or on wrap-around canvas and should be wired and ready for hanging. Limit of 3 per person at each location.

Special event on Sunday, March 19 1:30 – 4:00 pm:
Supplies needed: paint & brushes or drawing tools plus canvas or paper. An easel is useful but not absolutely necessary since there is some seating. Paper towels, water cup, etc. A camera is a good backup.
Get inspired by nature! There’s ducks and geese in the park, Hippo statues, water fountain, playground, Art Center, police memorial, and gardens. If it’s rainy or windy, we can work inside the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts from photos.
If you want to do plein air at another park in Irving, feel free! Invite a friend too.
