Exhibits for Irving’s Big Read Colors of Mexico – call for art
Take up a literary art challenge with two IAA-sponsored Big Read exhibits! Art submitted should relate to the chosen book Into the Beautiful North, Hispanic literature or culture, or the general concept of reading.
Irving Public Library, eight-time winner of the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read award, returns with its eleventh annual community read series. The selected novel is Into the Beautiful North by award-winning author Luís Alberto Urrea. Free books, fun events and author visits around the city tie into National Hispanic Heritage Month. The Irving Art Association is proud to be a program partner with the Library.
